Exams are over, looking to the future.

Hi all,

I hope you’ve had a great month and a half – wow it’s been sooo long since I last blogged. As you can probably tell from the title, I have been away doing my exams and now they are finally finished. I had planned on posting more before I stopped for the exam period but things got really crazy. I had so much course work and then so much revision to get done that things didn’t really pan out how I wanted. Never the less, as of Thursday I have officially finished my A-levels! They took a lot of hard work and a LOT of stress. Because of all that stress I was not able to blog. I had so little time and even if I did try, I think I would have been too stressed to focus on anything. Now I have so many plans and lots of blog ideas.

Anyway on with the post, today I am going to go over all of the New Year’s resolutions that I made back in January and see how I have done so far and what I still want to achieve in the rest of the year.

Blogging Goals
My first blogging goal was to keep going with my blog and keep creating content I enjoy. Have I done this? Kinda? I have just taken a long time away from blogging and social media but that was due to my exams so I needed to focus on those. Before that I was doing well and now that I’m back I’m excited to create the content that I really want!
The next goal I made at the beginning of the year was to make my blog self hosted and update the theme. I have done this! In February (I think) I went self hosted with my own domain name on WordPress.
I want to do blogmas, obviously this hasn’t happened because it’s not December yet but I’m still planning to do blogmas this year. I have written a note in my diary to remind me to start planning in October so I won’t forget and hopefully that will be enough time (I like planning early).
Take part in more blogging stuff, Before my exams I was taking part in more online twitter chats and I have been getting back to these. Last Sunday I took part in the GRLPWR blogger chat that currently takes place on Sunday at 9pm UK time – to visit the GRLPWR twitter page click Here. I have also signed up for a subscription of the Blogospere magazine, I have loved reading these, so inspiring!
Life Goals

My first life gaol was to take my A-levels which I have done! I gave them my best shot and worked hard so even though I don’t know how I did yet and I’m nervous to find out, I’m proud that I gave them my best go!

My next life goal was to pass my driving test and also pass my driving theory. I haven’t passed my test yet, I did take my theory test a while ago and I passed, but then went on to fail my practical. I’m still trying and fingers crossed I will get it on my next attempt.

At the beginning of the year I wanted to do an apprenticeship in fashion and textiles and I’d found one I was interested in but later on with a bit more research and thinking time I have decided I don’t want that anymore. But I still don’t really know what I want to do. So I don’t yet have a plan for next year.

They were my goals, I still have a fair few goals to work through but it’s only June so there is plenty of the year to go. I also want to get back into doing more exercise as I really enjoyed doing Lucy Wyndham-Read‘s fitness videos before my exams.

If you’ve not been here before, I’d love it if you were to follow my blog on Bloglovin. If you’re back, thank you so much for sticking around!

Thank you for reading!

Bye for now, see you next week (Thursday 7pm uk time)
